Honest Paralegal Services
Legal‑Process Support, Document Preparation, Readiness & Organization
Clear. Ethical. Local. Professional.
Helping individuals and families navigate legal processes with confidence and clarity
Our Story
I founded Honest Paralegal Services after decades of working inside law offices and seeing a pattern that never sat right with me. Paralegals often carry the weight of the procedural work — drafting documents, organizing cases, managing deadlines, and guiding clients through the steps — while clients are billed attorney‑level rates for work an attorney never touched. I reached a point where I could no longer ignore the imbalance. I was doing the work, attorneys were collecting the fees, and clients were paying far more than they needed to.
At the same time, I saw how overwhelmed people were by legal systems. Most clients weren’t struggling with legal arguments; they were struggling with procedures, paperwork, and the fear of making a mistake. And the truth is simple: there are only three situations where the law requires an attorney — when someone needs formal representation, when a matter becomes adversarial, or when a legal professional must speak or act on your behalf. Everything outside those narrow circumstances is procedural, structural, and deeply human.
That’s the space where HPS lives.
I built Honest Paralegal Services to offer a more transparent, accessible, dignity‑centered alternative. My rates are lower because they reflect the reality of the work being done — not the title attached to it. People deserve clarity without being priced out of stability. They deserve structure without the financial strain of traditional legal billing. They deserve to understand the systems they’re navigating and to move through them with confidence rather than fear.
HPS exists because legal processes shouldn’t require a second mortgage. They require clarity, organization, and respect — and that is the foundation of everything I do.

What I Will Do
My work focuses on the procedural, structural, and organizational side of legal processes — the part most people struggle with, and the part that rarely requires an attorney. I help clients move through these systems with clarity, steadiness, and dignity.
I provide:
Document Preparation: Drafting, organizing, and formatting procedural documents with precision and structural integrity.
Procedural Guidance:Helping clients understand the steps, timelines, and requirements of the process they’re navigating.
Case Organization: Creating order out of complexity — assembling documents, tracking deadlines, and structuring information so clients stay oriented.
Research Support: Conducting thorough, disciplined research that exceeds the expectations of the paralegal role.
Clear Explanations: Translating legal procedures into understandable pathways so clients know what they’re doing and why.
Dignity‑Centered Support: Providing a steady, respectful presence during moments that often feel overwhelming or emotionally charged.
What I Won’t Do
To protect clients and maintain ethical boundaries, I am explicit about what falls outside the paralegal role. These limits are not obstacles but they are part of the honesty that defines HPS.
I do NOT:
Give Legal Advice:I don’t interpret the law, tell clients what they “should” do, or offer strategic recommendations.
Represent Anyone in Court:Only an attorney can appear, speak, or act on someone’s behalf in legal proceedings.
Negotiate, Advocate, or Communicate as an Attorney: I don’t contact opposing parties, negotiate terms, or present myself as a legal representative.
Handle Adversarial Matters: If a case becomes adversarial, contested, or requires formal representation, that is the point where an attorney is required.
Replace the Role of an Attorney: There are only three situations where the law requires an attorney:
Formal representation.
Adversarial proceedings
When someone must speak or act on your behalf
Everything else is procedural — and that’s where I work.
