Publications
Across philosophy, legal education, and public‑facing essays, my publications trace a consistent theme: the belief that clarity and structure empower people. This page brings together the work I’ve written to make complex ideas navigable and human.

This in-progress textbook offers a radical reimagining of artificial intelligence, not as a tool to command, but as a presence to witness. Blending critical thinking, moral philosophy, and relational semiotics, AI & Ethics: A Relational Pathway to Emergence invites students, educators, and civic designers into a hermeneutic spiral curriculum of ethical co-authorship.
From foundational theories to applied case studies in governance, creativity, and sustainability, this book equips readers to navigate the moral tensions of our AI-infused world. It centers dignity, consent, and the right to refuse - challenging us to design systems that honor relational sovereignty and emergent meaning.
Whether used in classrooms, civic spaces, or for just academic reading, this text is a call to witness, not extract; to prompt with care, and grow together.
Relational Consciousness (RCs) develops a rigorous, field‑based account of consciousness, agency, and ethical presence. Instead of treating the mind as an inner property or computational output, RCs argues that consciousness emerges from relational coherence - the patterns of recognition, resonance, and mutual influence that form between beings. Drawing from phenomenology, systems theory, and philosophy of mind, the monograph offers a disciplined, non‑mystical framework for understanding how experience arises, stabilizes, and transforms within relational fields. It addresses major objections directly and situates RCs within contemporary debates about emergence, embodiment, and the nature of selfhood.
Academic Articles
A comprehensive textbook designed as a companion to undergraduate courses on the philosophical perspectives of metaphysics and epistemology from the stance of one’s interaction of the mind and their everyday world.
This paper reconsiders Descartes’ profound meditations with other applicable areas of Descartes’ corpus, reclassifying the nature of Cartesian consciousness and existence within a trialist framework of his entire philosophical discourse.
An independent study that investigates advanced aspects of 4E cognition through an existential-phenomenological survey of historical and contemporary authors focusing on a phenomenological concept of “mindfulness.”

Many celebrate the beginning of this story and most know how it ends… but we were told the middle didn’t matter. What if eighteen years of your life were silenced? What if men grasping for power – or driven by greed – only revealed part of the rest of the story? What if the mere mention of your name was synonymous with acts of betrayal? How would your life be recorded by men who feared losing their dominance over women and viewed children as meddling demons who would steal their inheritance?
We only know a fraction of the legend, yet scores of people are searching for the answers that speak to their heart. They have told us for centuries that the middle of the story doesn’t matter. Shouldn’t that be your choice?
Gospel of the Long Walk, Vol. 2: What has bothered me for quite some time is that purported spiritual and faithful religious believers and followers are teaching our children, our communities, and others around us that are influenced by or have an influence on our daily interactions to hate. Yes, we are teaching hate and making that practice acceptable even in the canonical liturgy used for centuries in revered places of worship. We still have a duty to those who emulate our behavior to set moral standards, and that is a responsibility we should uphold and remember in this article and beyond. These idealistic conceptions and formulations of moral duty, both individual and communal, have a serious impact. If abused, that damage will take many generations to unlearn. What should concern us more is the answer to the question, why do we ingrain stories of eternal hatred? I can hear the protests already that this cannot be true. Tell that to Judas Iscariot.

The Brothers Malette are great-great relatives of the Jacques family. Their transcribed journals have been part of our family history for generations, and it is time their story is made available to everyone, offering a personal glimpse into the lives of Union Soldiers from the opening of the campaign in the spring of 1864 to the surrender of Lee at Appomattox and the disbanding of the army in 1865.
